Welcome scientists!!!
I am so excited to be teaching science this year! To tell you a little about me, I graduated with my bachelors in Physics from
Sacramento State University in 2009 and continued on to receive my teaching credentials in Physics, General Science, and Mathematics. While in the credential program I was privileged to teach a semester of 8th grade physical science using the Focus on Physical Science curriculum, and then three High School Physics classes the second semester. Before starting our careers my husband and I went to serve at an orphanage in Mexico for a year. While there I was able to tutor many children not only in academics but also in life. My passion to teach children grew while I was in Mexico and I am excited to teach each and every student that enters the classroom not only in academics but in life. In 2012-2013 I taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade mathematics using common core curriculum and had a wonderful first year of teaching. Since 2013 I have been so blessed to be teaching 7th and 8th grade science here at Boulder Creek. I truly believe this is an amazing school with high academic achievement. Going into my fourth year of teaching I am looking forward to a wonderful year of fun and learning…that is right I used fun and learning in the same sentence. In order to have a great year, I have made a syllabus of my own (which you can find on "8th Science" for 8th graders or "7th Science" for 7th graders), so that the student and the parent will know what I will expect inside and outside of the classroom this year. Please feel free to read through the content. If there are any questions, comments or concerns, I can be reached at [email protected] I will check my email at least twice a day. Thank you and I cannot wait to see what unfolds this semester!
